The Lithuanian Golf Federation 2009-03-27

The Lithuanian Golf Federation (LGF) was founded in Kaunas, in the year of 2000.

The Federation is presently composed of 8 members:

LGF is governed by the President Mr. Rolandas Dovidaitis

The prime objectives of the LGF are:

To encourage the national development of golf, to strengthen the bonds of friendship existing between its members.
To encourage the formation of new golf clubs representing the golf activities.
To co-ordinate the dates of the Open Amateur Championships and, in conjunction with host clubs, arrange specific matches of international character.
To ratify and publish the calendar dates of major Amateur Tournaments.
To consolidate the views on handicapping and rating of golf courses within the realm of the LGF.
To create and maintain international relationship in the field of golf and undertake any action useful to the cause of golf on an international level.

Main activities performed by the LGF:

Information and communication
- amongst our members.
- the EGA, R&A and the International Golf Federation.
- press and media.
- through a regular circulation of information of general interest such as circular letters, précis, regulations and calendars.
