Baltic Amateur Open Golf Championship 2011

Dear golfers, 

Lithuanian Golf Federation is greeting all the golf players and invites to take part in Lithuanian Amateur Open Golf Championship and the final Tour of Baltic Amateur Open Golf Championship on August 12-14, 2011.

In the beginning of 2011 Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian golf federations have decided to strengthen the cooperation of the Baltic countries. For that purpose they have decided to organize another international tournament – Open Amateur Golf Championship of the Baltic countries. This would be the Tournament of three stages, held during Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian Open Championships. This year the final round of the Baltic Amateur Open Golf Championship will be held in Lithuania during Lithuanian Amateur Open Golf Championship. 

These two prestigious tournaments will take place in one of the best Lithuanian golf courses – 18 holes Capitals Golf Club. In 2007 Capitals Golf Club was selected The Best New Project of 2007 in international division (the whole world, except USA)  by Golf Inc. The Project has overcome such „grands“ as Punta Espada Golf Club in Dominican Republic, designed by Jack Nicklaus and Pete Dye course in Mission Hills Golf Club in China.

Lithuanian Golf Federation expresses its sincere gratitude to R&A organization for the support in organizing the first Baltic Championship and we hope that this Championship will gain an increasing popularity and acceptance in golf society.
